Job summary
The Product Manager, Investment Products, will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our firm's investment products, including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and other investment vehicles. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, financial market expertise, and hands-on execution to drive product strategy, development, and commercial success. The ideal candidate is a highly driven, detail-oriented, and business-savvy professional with a passion for financial markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Define product vision: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives and market positioning.
  • Identify opportunities: Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities, assess market trends, and evaluate product-market fit.
  • Drive product roadmap: Own and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing new features, product enhancements, and rationalization efforts based on client needs, market demands, and business impact.
  • Oversee lifecycle: Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation and business case creation to launch and post-launch optimization.
Product implementation and launch
  • Launch new products: Lead the cross-functional implementation of new investment products or changes to existing products, coordinating with legal, compliance, operations, portfolio managers, and distribution teams.
  • Ensure readiness: Drive internal readiness for product launches by developing training materials and coordinating with sales, marketing, and client service teams.
Product performance and communication
  • Monitor performance: Track and analyze product performance metrics, profitability, and sales figures to inform strategic decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Serve as subject-matter expert (SME): Act as the internal and external SME for assigned products, providing expert knowledge to sales teams, client service, and marketing for collateral creation.
  • Develop positioning: Craft compelling product positioning and messaging that highlights key differentiators and aligns with the target market segment.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement: Manage interactions with internal stakeholders, senior management, and boards, creating materials for product governance meetings and performance reviews.
Compliance and risk management
  • Ensure regulatory adherence: Work closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure all products adhere to regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
  • Mitigate risk: Monitor and assess potential risks associated with product changes or new initiatives.
 
You will work closely with cross-functional teams in enhancing our product offerings and driving business growth to deliver high-quality, client-centric solutions and enhance our competitive position in the market.
 
 Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or CFA certification is a plus.
  • Experience: [3]+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the asset management or financial services industry.
  • Domain knowledge: Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and different asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income, real assets).
  • Regulatory knowledge: Familiarity with the regulatory environment governing investment products.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
